Job Description:
International / Multi-Lingual Website & Content Manager
Senior Manager-Level IC
• Full-Time Contractor
• Reports to Director of Website and Organic Growth
• Preferred Timezone: PT (open to MT/CT, or ET with PT-hours availability) 30–40 hours/week
• Contract-to-hire eligible
About the Role
We recently expanded our website and products from English-only to multi-lingual, launching micro-sites in five new languages. We’re now looking for a seasoned, hands-on website manager to join our International Growth Pod and drive growth across these non-English markets — whether through expanding to additional languages, improving SEO performance, optimizing paid landing pages, or increasing conversion.
This is a highly cross-functional role that blends strategy and execution. You’ll be expected to develop a point of view on priorities and pitch ideas to earn buy-in on shared resources, while also rolling up your sleeves to get the work done. The International Growth Pod includes members from marketing, product, engineering, and design, and will provide the resources you need to be effective.
This contractor role has the potential to convert to a full-time, in-house position.
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Growth
- Size and prioritize language opportunities to guide our next investments.
- Own the international website workstream strategy and roadmap; lead cross-functional collaboration with paid acquisition, SEO, PMM, brand, creative, growth engineering, and product teams.
- Pitch priorities and recommendations to the International Growth Pod to earn alignment on shared resources.
- Define what success looks like and track it — the north star is driving new user growth from our multi-lingual websites.
- Deliver monthly shareouts covering performance, plans, and learnings.
Content Strategy & Production
- Develop page strategies and briefs (including creative asset briefs with translation) for all new and updated pages.
- Serve as DRI for pages from brief through launch, coordinating across teams and vendors.
- Manage localized creative asset production (e.g., website images with product UI) with external vendors and the internal creative team — a key process gap and high-priority workstream.
- Manage vendor relationships end-to-end, including briefing, timelines, QA, and feedback loops.
Localization & Translation
- Manage translation workflows with our translation agency, including task creation, vendor communication, and timeline tracking.
- Review and approve translations, with particular attention to page keywords, metadata, and brand terminology.
- Use Lokalise for task management, responding to linguist queries, and contributing to the brand glossary.
- Develop and document localization workflows and SOPs as this function matures.
- Ensure localized pages only surface features available in-product for each language (localized-feature compliance review).
SEO, Data & QA
- Support basic SEO keyword research in non-English languages
- Support performance measurement by maintaining appropriate dashboard filters for web data (NAU counts), including ongoing updates as new pages launch.
- Perform page QA; create and manage engineering tickets for bugs or required tasks.
- Maintain SSOT documentation for all launched pages.
Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Draft and post launch announcements; keep relevant partners informed on progress and performance.
- Proactively communicate updates, blockers, and learnings to stakeholders across the pod.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in website strategy, content strategy, or digital marketing, with meaningful experience on multi-lingual or international websites.
- Comfortable operating as a senior IC: equally at home developing strategy and executing hands-on work.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator with experience influencing without direct authority.
- Knowledgeable about website data; self-sufficient in pulling and interpreting data from analytics dashboards.
- Solid understanding of at least one adjacent discipline beyond core website management (e.g., Content, SEO, CRO, UX, paid landing pages, localization).
- Experience managing external vendors or translation agencies.
- Fast learner; able to quickly absorb how our products differ across markets and translate that into content and brief requirements.
- Gritty and adaptable — comfortable operating in an evolving environment where not all processes are yet defined.
Highly Preferred
- Fluency in one or more of our supported languages: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, or Italian.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodology and tools.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, including for non-English search.
- Experience with localization platforms (Lokalise or similar).
- Knowledge of paid landing page best practices.
