Paid Search Media Marketing Manager I

Our performance marketing team is highly analytical, moves fast, and is focused on delivering quantifiable results. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of paid search campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers.
This is a contractor, individual contributor role. You will be embedded in a high-performing SEM team, working within established processes and strategies to manage a complex, high-spend paid search program. You'll be owning the day-to-day execution with precision, following defined playbooks, and surfacing performance insights to the team.

About the job:
- Execute against defined paid search strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to drive customer acquisition
- Manage and pace multi-million dollar monthly budgets, coordinating with budget stakeholders to ensure spend alignment and campaign efficiency
- Set up, optimize, and maintain large-scale paid search campaigns with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Identify and implement tactical optimizations across keywords, bids, ad copy, landing pages, and audiences within established testing frameworks
- Track, report, and present campaign performance to internal stakeholders on a regular cadence
- Monitor and maintain campaign health — proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact performance
- Support ongoing A/B tests and marketing experiments in partnership with Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams
- Maintain meticulous records of campaign changes, budget pacing, and performance trends
About you:
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of hands-on-keyboard experience managing paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Demonstrated experience managing large budgets ($5M+ in monthly paid search spend preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of optimizing toward CPA, ROAS, ROI, LTV, and CAC
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for performance analysis and budget tracking
- High attention to detail — you catch errors before they become problems and take pride in clean, well-structured campaign builds
- Proven ability to follow detailed operational processes and SOPs with consistency and accuracy
- Able to manage a large, complex campaign structure across multiple accounts simultaneously without errors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for regular stakeholder reporting
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a structured, process-driven marketing team or agency environment
- Familiarity with marketing measurement, attribution, and incrementality testing
- Experience supporting or collaborating on A/B experiments with analytics or data science teams
