Paid Search Media Marketing Manager I

Overview:

Our performance marketing team is highly analytical, moves fast, and is focused on delivering quantifiable results. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of paid search campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers.

This is a contractor, individual contributor role. You will be embedded in a high-performing SEM team, working within established processes and strategies to manage a complex, high-spend paid search program. You'll be owning the day-to-day execution with precision, following defined playbooks, and surfacing performance insights to the team.

If you thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment, have a sharp eye for detail, and take pride in flawless campaign management at scale — this role is for you.

About the job:

  • Execute against defined paid search strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to drive customer acquisition
  • Manage and pace multi-million dollar monthly budgets, coordinating with budget stakeholders to ensure spend alignment and campaign efficiency
  • Set up, optimize, and maintain large-scale paid search campaigns with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and implement tactical optimizations across keywords, bids, ad copy, landing pages, and audiences within established testing frameworks
  • Track, report, and present campaign performance to internal stakeholders on a regular cadence
  • Monitor and maintain campaign health — proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact performance
  • Support ongoing A/B tests and marketing experiments in partnership with Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams
  • Maintain meticulous records of campaign changes, budget pacing, and performance trends

About you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on-keyboard experience managing paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
  • Demonstrated experience managing large budgets ($5M+ in monthly paid search spend preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of optimizing toward CPA, ROAS, ROI, LTV, and CAC
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for performance analysis and budget tracking
  • High attention to detail — you catch errors before they become problems and take pride in clean, well-structured campaign builds
  • Proven ability to follow detailed operational processes and SOPs with consistency and accuracy
  • Able to manage a large, complex campaign structure across multiple accounts simultaneously without errors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for regular stakeholder reporting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a structured, process-driven marketing team or agency environment
  • Familiarity with marketing measurement, attribution, and incrementality testing
  • Experience supporting or collaborating on A/B experiments with analytics or data science teams
